Residence in Spain with the right to work for 3 years: for yourself and relatives (you can bring a partner, children and, in special cases, even parents). A convenient way to re-locate yourself or your employees. The main thing: — you can travel 30+ Schengen countries without a visa — live and work in Spain 365 days a year: approval with >95% probability — you can request approval if there is no answer within 20 working days. Naturalization and permanent residence: — after 5 years you can get a permanent residence permit (with the right to move to another EU country) — children born in Spain get citizenship after 1 year — you can get a Spanish passport after 10 years — OR with eligible citizenship after just 2 years! Accounts and business: — open an account in an EU bank or Revolut without problems — easier to open personal and corporate accounts outside the EU — possibility to open a legal entity in the EU.

June 2024. Portugal has canceled the option to apply for residences more easily with a visitor visa schengen/visa-free. Spain remains one of the last EU countries where it is still possible to apply for a residence permit with a Schengen visa

What is required to obtain a residence permit?

3 basic requirements for residency ✅ Do you have a remote work contract for more than 3 months from a company that has been in existence for more than 1 year? ✅ Is your contract income more than 2,849€ per month at the current exchange rate? (+1,068€ for the first family member, +356€ for the following ones) ✅ Can you come to Spain on a Schengen visa to apply? If all three points are yes: then 90% that you can get a residence permit. Then it is just a matter of collecting the right documents and submitting them.

* It is also possible without Schengen to apply for a 1-year visa D in the consulate, which then on arrival to replace the residence permit, but it risks unnecessarily complicating the process at all stages. It is recommended to get a tourist visa/visa-free first in order to get a 3-year residence permit at once.
